Hoping for Sunshine this week,

so I can spend some time in the 'out of doors' with my pastels, drawing pencils, and sketchbook. I am still getting the hang of drawing actual things and trying to make them look real, but no progress can be made without practice. I figure toting my pastels along will help me alleviate any frustration by giving me the chance to do something that is more natural for me.

Before I do that, I'm going to have to buy some rubber bands so the pastels don't take a tumble inside my purse.

I am so excited. Remember to post pictures of your progress (whether you like it or not.) Miss you.

I am NOT comparing pastels to my set of stanley socket wrenches, nor my colored pencils. But just in case it might be of assistance, try this. My pencils and my sockets come in a relatively flat case and they have a nice, thin piece of foam that keeps pressure on them so they: 1. stay in place and 2. don't knock against each other and the case. Maybe you could find a small-ish thin-ish case for your pastels and a piece of foam (or felt would work - even a bit of towel would work - but not as well as the foam...) to put in there...

Just a thought...
